Jim Park Voting AFL Rd 19 Carlton vs North Melbourne July 23, 2021, 06:42:57 pm Will we have enough fit players to vote for?Voting is as usual: you have 15 votes to award pretty much as you will, with the following provisos:[1] 15 votes in total, no more, no less.[2] No more than 10 votes for any one player (even Sam Walsh)[3] Three players at least must get a mention.[4] A grade for the game, A+ (what I want to see) to F-. Re: Jim Park Voting AFL Rd 19 Carlton vs North Melbourne Reply #1 – July 25, 2021, 07:22:23 pm I understand why nobody wants to vote.Team: EHad I done this yesterday, I probably wouldn’t have given the team an F, as I was so angry and disappointed. I’m still disappointed, but the first half wasn’t that dreadful. And considering our injury problems, it wasn’t like I expected us to win.Still, there is a lot of improving to do before next round, injuries or not. The lack of effort after half time was simply not good enough.Votes:[2] Jack Silvagni[2] Jack Newnes[2] Sam Walsh[2] Paddy Dow[2] Patrick Cripps[1] Adam Saad[1] Ed Curnow[1] Tom de Koning[1] Nick Newman[0.5] Liam Jones[0.5] Sam Petrevski-SetonExplanations:[2] Jack Silvagni: Jack was probably our best contributor as an attempted ruckman and forward. His work in the centre was excellent.[2] Jack Newnes: Reasonably consistent over the 4 quarters, Newnes kicking for goal is really off at the moment. At least he managed to get 2 goals.[2] Sam Walsh: Walsh was tagged hard and still got 27 possessions. He just wasn’t as dominant as he has been.[2] Paddy Dow: Good numbers and a reasonable game.[2] Patrick Cripps: Three goals was pretty good.[1] Adam Saad: Worked hard in defence and provided good run early.[1] Ed Curnow: Solid.[1] Tom de Koning: Tried hard, but needs another 10 kg of muscle.[1] Nick Newman: Tried hard[0.5] Liam Jones: Tried hard[0.5] Sam Petrevski-Seton: SPS was very good early, but he dropped out of the game very badly.Honourable Mentions:Jacob Weitering: When your man gets 7 goals, it isn’t a good sign, but Weitering was still a contributor.Matthew Owies: Owies was very good early, when we actually got the ball into the forward line. However, his misses really hurt in that first quarter. At the end of the game he was cold: the ball didn’t get near hum. Quote Selected

Re: Jim Park Voting AFL Rd 19 Carlton vs North Melbourne Reply #8 – July 29, 2021, 05:29:44 pm I will leave this thread open for a little longer, although I doubt that many more will vote. We struggled to get voters for the Collingwood game, and we won that one! Quote Selected
